Homeschooling is one way to educate you're children. I'm homeschooled and have been since October 20th or so of 2005. I have enjoyed it ever since I started. I was in public school from Pre-K to 8th grade. I was fine and dandy until I hit maybe 7th grade, when the bullies started to bug me more than usual. I felt that I was the target for the whole grade...not the greatest feeling.
With the feeling of everyone turning against me, my heart wasn't into doing my school work. I had very low grades, lower than my spirits. When my grades dropped faster than I could have thought possible, I was having trouble at home. My parents weren't happy with my grades being so low. I was talked to every night by my parents, yelled at by my teachers and then tortured by my peers. My life was not a happy one. Every night, I would hide in my room and try to work with my homework but no matter what I did I always had low grades. My test scores were the greatest thing next to poisonous snakes! Yahoo! Not! I was accused of not doing my homework if I didn't understand it. Some of my teachers we're very rude to me if I asked for help. When I would ask for help, my teacher would look at me angrily and yell " Why didn't you come to me yesterday?!?!?" My answer to that is "because I didn't look at it until I got HOME!" But to my teacher I would say "I tried to but you weren't there!" or "I'm sorry! I didn't understand and I couldn't get to class in time to ask you about my homework for this class AND do all of my other class' homework too."
Argh! No respect for those who try hard and do all that can do.
I'm going to skip all of the rest of this negitive junk and tell you people about my time homeschooling. It's much better than all of this teenage drama.
Ok, I then began to be homeschooled. It was easy. My mom got online and found a program that is for homeschoolers. Duh. Lol! Anyway, it was just a bunch of lessons for grades 2-12. You pick the grade you're in and do the work. When you're done with the grade you have been working on, you move on to the next one. Easy as pie. I've been doing this for a while and have finished a lot of work. I have been working hard and love all of the things I can do because I'm homeschooled. Here are some things that are great about homeschooling:
- I can go see my homeschooled friends when I'm done with all of my work for the day.
- I can surf the web when I'm done with all my work.
- I don't need a hall pass to go get a drink or go to the bathroom.
- I can do whatever I want with projects.
- I can choose topics I like if I don't like the one the program gave me.
- I can have music all day in class if I want to.
- I still get the same days off as the school here does so I have the same brecks at the same time.
Nice, huh?
So as you can see, I have had a rockin' time being homeschooled. Some of my public school friends though it was so cool they wanted to be homeschooled too!
If you would like to be homeschooled and do the same program as I do then just go to: http://www.globalstudentnetwork.com/
